Our Magical Experience Visiting WB's The Making Of Harry Potter- Part I

I booked these tickets around two months before and I was so excited for two whole months visiting HARRY POTTER! To be honest, I have not read all of the books throughout my childhood except the first, second, and 7th one, but I did watch all the films. I was not a huge fan like everybody else was, but I did grow up learning about Harry Potter and my fifth grade teacher even read the first book to us right when it came out during class (the best). Like if you told me to name this street in Harry Potter I could not tell you. I just know that it was a street they took when they visited the vault from the secret place. My boyfriend is however a huge Harry Potter and Lord of The Rings nerd so I am happy that we have visited regardless, because he had a great time looking at everything in the whole experience. One of my high school acquaintances actually worked on making one of the experiences at this location, so it was very cool getting to see that also. I didn't know that it was so far from central London, as it was around one hour to get there from Notting Hill. It was out of the way and I don't think people living in London even go there because of how far it is. We woke up very early in the morning to do a photo shoot guided tour in Notting Hill, and went straight to Harry Potter. There were a lot of fields and farms on the way there. It seemed like a rural area.

Moving on, we arrived at the parking lot and it was a bit emptier than I imagined, probably due to Covid-19. There was this little entrance area after the huge dragon in the ceiling, and they had little movie posters and Harry Potter's actual closet (cupboard whatever) he lived in under the stairs. It was a lot smaller than what I imagined and saw in the film. I love how all things like sets are pretty tiny but they come out huge in the films (every set place I visited was a lot smaller in real life).

The whole experience was a film set used for a decade so it was extremely large! There were so many sets including the train station for 9 3/4 platform to Hogwarts, the actual train with the scenes that the train sections were used for (each movie), Tom Riddle's tombstone, the enchanted forest, the house that Harry lived in, the sketches for the scenes, Hogwarts when they show a 3D image of the school from afar (aerial shots), the potion room, Hagrid's house, Dumbledore's actual study, the dormitories, seriously literally everything. I recognized all of these scenes because I have watched the movie a couple times. It was very cool to visit this Harry Potter Museum! I loved seeing everything in real life, because one of my hobbies is already visiting movie locations on my free days. I have visited the Disturbia House in real life (it is on Painter St. in Whittier). I watched the film and went there with my family because we watched the movie over and over so many times when living in Fullerton (i miss those days dearly). I have visited the train station from the infamous fight scene in The Untouchables, even though it was under construction, and the Bethesda Fountain that is used in many Marvel movies like "Avengers." Even if you are not a fan, everybody knows Harry Potter, so it will be a very pleasurable experience for all.

This is the Hogwarts Express Station! Isn't it so majestic?!

Who wouldn't want to visit this place when they show you all the scenes from the world's most loved film series of all time? I wish they had those moving newspaper images, but since the CGI is not visible in real life, they were not moving lol. The dining hall however was very huge and bigger than what I imagined. So was the vault. I don't know why they needed super big sizes for these but it was really beautiful and I am glad they kept it on display. They had other things like costumes for certain scenes, like Hermione's pink floral dress.

This vault was my favorite! I loved the vault in the book and the movie and I always wanted to go there in real life. It made me feel like I was a part of the movie and I was so happy to be there. I had a lot of experiences at the Magical World Of Harry Potter So this will be continued in Part Two!! Thanks!
