I was so happy that I finally arrived in Jeju Island for the first time ever! I had many friends who visited Jeju Island with their families since I was in high school, and I was very jealous. My best friend Junghee is also originally from Jeju Island (she lived here until she was in elementary) and her cousins still live here. She would tell me stories about the little monsters that live on the island and about the light houses, and how her uncle owns a wild hog restaurant on the island. I really liked how all the people were very friendly and were very welcoming, compared to the people in Seoul. Seoul people can be pretty rude and unfriendly, but everyone we met in Jeju were super nice. My mom picked me up in Jeju Airport and I went to the air bnb after my long 18 hour total flight (7 hour layover in Kuala). I was so happy to see my sister and her partner and spend time with them in Korea. Jeju was so nice and serene. The apartment was very nice and spacious. Very good value! The next morning, we went to the gdragon cafe by taxi to grab some cakes and coffee. It was raining so we were getting wet, but the experience to the cafe was nice.

I am a huge Gdragon fan since I was in high school, so I really wanted to come to his cafe that he owns in Jeju~ I heard recently that this man broke his 300,000$ Baccarat chandelier, and he had to pay 500$ to fix it. I wanted to see this chandelier also but couldn't because I guess it was getting fixed at the shop or wherever they fix baccarat chandeliers.

When I walked in, it was a lot smaller than I expected compared to the outside. The outside of the cafe was very pretty and were made of reflective mirrors that you can pose in front of alongside the crashing waves on the shore. The inside was dripping rain for some reason, and I guess they put buckets out. The interior was very black all around, like the walls and the ceilings. There were two giant folding and unfolding moving flowers (pink and blue) and were distracting, but they were pretty.

The LED pink light with the heart was also very pretty. I liked the interior, because it is what GD would set up in his cafe. The same as his Instagram vibes, albums, and concerts I guess. Even though GD and YG is going through that whole Burning Sun thing, I am glad I finally got to visit before the collapse of YG took place. The baristas/servers looked very trendy and had earrings on, kind of looked hip like GD i guess. They also weren't that friendly or welcoming to the cafe. They just did what they had to do and took our orders. We ordered a grapefruit vanilla frosted cake and four lattes. The coffees were pretty good and the cake was delicious! I loved the taste and soft layers of it. I really liked the vibes because the shore was right next to the cafe, it was next to a bunch of other cute cafes like Bomnal, and the waves crashing in gave the whole experience such a wholesome cozy vibe. Too bad it was raining though, because they closed the curtains and this made the cafe look smaller and darker. I think that is why my mom didn't like it because the curtains are normally open with people sitting outside. I will come back next time for longer!! I know it will be fun x) Hopefully the chandelier will be there next time.
